Not far from the Luxembourg Gardens, this apartment tucked away in a leafy courtyard, overlooking Haussmann-style façades, has been completely renovated. The owners entrusted us with bringing the place back to life, keeping its charm while adding comfort and modernity.

At the heart of the living room, a large piece of made-to-measure joinery structures the space: it includes a fold-away desk, a bookcase, discreet storage and a hidden projector designed for movie nights.

The lack of storage mentioned from the very first conversations also led us to design a storage bench in the dining room, a welcoming seat that cleverly combines conviviality and functionality.

The choice of light fittings was the common thread of the project: sometimes sculptural, sometimes discreet, they accompany everyday uses and enhance the materials, while reinforcing the cosy atmosphere of the place.

Another strong choice: keeping the old beams in their dark tone, to underline the soul of the place and create a subtle contrast with the soft tones of the walls and furniture.

Today the whole forms a Parisian gem, warm, singular and serene, where every detail was designed to reveal the simple beauty of the existing volumes.
